Mugendi G. Moses is the National Director of Physical Planning and a Registered Physical Planner with 20 years of experience. He began his career as a Physical Planning Officer II and steadily rose through the ranks, most recently serving as Deputy Director of the National Land Information Management System (NLIMS).

He has been part of instrumental team shaping Kenya’s land and planning sector, contributing to the Physical and Land Use Planning Act, 2019, and the Community Land Act, 2016, where he oversaw public education programs and the registration of community lands. He also supported the rollout of the Ardhisasa Platform, the transfer of land sector functions to both levels of government, and the revision of key land statutes and regulations.

Mugendi holds a Master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Nairobi and a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Urban and Regional Planning from Maseno University. He is a Registered Physical Planner with the Physical Planners Registration Board and a corporate member of the Architectural Association of Kenya (AAK), Town Planning Chapter, as well as a graduate member of the Kenya Institute of Planners.
